Harvard University MBA Scholarships 2024-2025 is a fully funded MBA scholarship for international students. This scholarship covers financial aid of up to $84,000 ($42,000 per year) toward tuition fees.

Nearly 50% of MBA students receive a need-based scholarship from Harvard Business School, with awards ranging from $2,500 to $76,000 annually. Annual need-based scholarships last year averaged $42,000 — or $84,000 over two years.

Eligibility
To qualify for the Harvard MBA Scholarship, the candidate must meet all of the following requirements below:
- Degree program at an accredited four-year U.S. college/university or international equivalent (unless you are an advanced undergraduate student in our 2+2 program). Equivalent programs include three-year international bachelor’s degree programs.
- The Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test results.
- English test results if you are enrolled in a non-English university program.

International Applicants
Academic Requirements
The international applicant must have a four-year university or college degree equivalent to a US baccalaureate degree. Equivalent degrees include three-year international bachelor’s degree programs.
Transcripts
- All course names must be translated into English prior to submission.
- Harvard Business School admitted before, You will be asked to submit an official hard copy in the original language.
English Language Test
- All candidates who received their bachelor’s degree from a university where English is NOT the sole language, must take an English language test (TOEFL, IELTS, Pearson Test of English (PTE), or Duolingo English Test).
- The MBA Admissions Board discourages any candidate with a TOEFL score lower than 109 on the iBT, an IELTS score lower than 7.5, a PTE score lower than 75, or a Duolingo score lower than 145 from applying.

Need-based Application Fee Waiver
Harvard Business School believes that your financial circumstances should never prevent you from applying for or enrolling in an MBA program.
If your annual income at your current or last place of employment is $65,000 or less, a need-based application fee waiver will apply automatically after you submit your application. If you are not automatically eligible but would like to request it due to financial hardship, you may submit a need-based waiver request form.
To request a need-based fee waiver, you will need to start an application and complete the Fee Waiver Request Form inside.

Written Application
Transcripts
- Candidates must have the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- We require uploaded transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate academic institutions that you have attended (full- or part-time).
- You may upload an “unofficial” or student copy of your transcript; however, we will request an official copy for verification purposes should you be admitted to HBS.
GMAT/GRE
There is no GMAT or GRE minimum to apply, and we do not have a preference for one test or the other. If you look at our class profile, you can see that we have a range of GMAT and GRE scores in our current first-year class.

Essay
Write a 900-word essay to describe yourself, and why we consider your candidacy for the Harvard Business School MBA program.
Recommendations
Recommenders will be asked to fill out a personal qualities and skills grid and answer two additional questions:
How do the candidate’s performance, potential, background or personal qualities compare to that of other well-qualified individuals in similar roles? Please provide specific examples. (300 words)
Please describe the most important piece of constructive feedback you provided to the applicant. Please detail the circumstances and applicant’s response. (250 words)
Resume
This can be your standard CV or a CV. You don’t need to have it in any special format. You can use whatever you would use to conduct your job search.

Fee or Fee Waiver
There is a non-refundable application fee (credit card only) of $250* to offset the cost of reviewing applications. Not all active-duty military applicants and former SVMP participants are required to pay an application fee.
If your annual income at your current or last place of employment is $65,000 or less, the need-based application fee waiver will automatically apply. If you are not automatically eligible but would like to request a fee waiver due to financial hardship, you may apply for a need-based application fee waiver after starting your application.
*Applicants to our 2+2 program receive a discounted application fee of $100.
Interview
After your written application is submitted and reviewed, you may be invited for an interview. Interviews last 30 minutes and are conducted by a member of the MBA Admissions Board who reviewed your application.
Post-Interview Reflection
Within 24 hours of the interview, candidates are asked to submit written ideas through the online application system. Detailed instructions will be provided to applicants invited for interview.
